Todays objective was to make a second page to continue this blog. Eventually I'll need to make a seperate CSS sheet, but for now Just copying it on each HTML document. Made it back to Pheonix to visit some family after travelling through New Mexico. It's my son's birthday and he want's to try rattlesnake. Should be interesting. Vacation is coming to an end, and today was mostly just relaxing and staying out of the heat. I really hope this second page works, that will really make a difference in future projects.

Coming to pheonix to visit family was an awesome decision. We had an amazing time connecting through stimulating conversation. Though I think I could have spent more time listening, we are a family of talkers. I often wonder how outsiders deal with us, it can be overwhelming.

Coming down to the last day, heading back to Las Vegas for our flight home. Might be posting a side blog about how this was a bit of a foody tour trying various burger joints in the southwest. Still one place to stop at and with four differing opinions one place surprisingly took the top spot.

Made the drive back to Las Vegas to catch our flight tomorrow. Made a couple of stops to check out two sites not originally on our list. I was very impressed with Montezuma's Castle. I look forward to flying home. I was glad everyone got along so well with all the driving, but I'm sure we're hitting the point were we all feel the need to return to normal. Outside practicing on this website, my studies have taken a backseat. I really need to get back to that, and now you won't have to endure travel updates and I'll be posting on my learning progress again.

We made it home safely. Vacations are nice, but they do help you appreciate your home. Started SQL yesterday and it's pretty simple and straight forward so far. In fact after learning Java none of the coding I've done has been challenging, it's been learning how to apply them that is tough. Through trail and error I've made some progress. The IDE's aren't particularly intuitive. I'm sure I have more training to do, but that seems to be what's limiting me now. I need to find a mentor or even just a collaborator that could help me smooth out this process. Once I finish the KA training but before I jump to W3 I'll see if there's an organization or group that could help me out. If there's one thing I know about nerds, we love to show off what we know which is a great way to train interested people like myself.

It's been 10 days since I posted, and mostly because I've been slacking in my studies. I have done a little more JavaScript learning how to make it more interactive but nothing I can really demonstrate here yet. School starts again in two weeks, and I'll need to focus on my physics and calculus classes so maybe I'll do updates on that if I don't have time to continue my programming courses. I was able to fix the problem I was having with how this blog was being displayed on mobile devices. I need more practice with CSS to master all of it's properties.
